Kati’s story began quite young watching her mom make birthday cakes for all of her extended family in their tiny kitchen. She grew up in a creative household, very much to credit to her mom and grandmother for always crafting.
After graduating, Kati went into the corporate world for 3.5 years until deciding to ultimately take the leap and make CupKate’s a reality completely on her own in 2022. Kati is self funded and the sole owner. Getting what you want in life isn't just given to you, it requires sacrifice and hard work.
Kati lost her father to cancer in 2019, whom she had an extremely close relationship with, and that had a large impact on her chasing her dreams. She believes that life is too short to not do something you love.
Kati grew her network and her baking skills over the years having pop up shops and collaborations with very well known brands and local retailers but now CupKate’s has its own shop! CupKate’s first location is located in Greenville, DE, CupKate’s mission is to provide high quality custom baked goods to customers essentially making their life sweeter. Husband and wife Anthony and Daneya Jacobs were born and raised in NYC. As kids they both looked forward to visiting their local corner stores, where they could purchase a few sweet treats. Life wasn't always sweet for the couple both lost their fathers as children to gun violence.
Through perseverance and faith the couple has learned to view life from the sweet side, to trust that their life has purpose and remain optimistic. When you enjoy a custom individually packaged cotton candy treat the couple hopes that you remember, Life is Sweet after all.
Growing up, Delaware native Briauna Taylor and her mother shared a love for beautiful flowers. As a teenager, Briauna always wanted to purchase flowers for her mother, but couldn’t fathom paying the expensive florist prices. She began to buy flowers at the grocery store and arrange them herself to surprise her mom. Briauna continued to do this for her mother in high school and all throughout her time at Eastern University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing and Communications.
While she has been able to use her creativity in her professional career in the Communications industry, Briauna maintains that nothing makes her happier than arranging beautiful flowers to make someone smile. After a high-demand Mothers Day in 2018, she decided that it was about time she pursued her passion and The Bloom Wagon was founded. It is Briauna’s endeavor to travel with The Bloom Wagon to provide beautiful flowers and floral arrangements that will make people smile.
